5 Essential Business Apps for Entrepreneurs
May 15, 2019
There are quite a few apps out there that will make an entrepreneur’s life easier, but these are the very best.
LinkedIn
Right off the bat, there’s the popular social media platform, LinkedIn. This is an absolute necessity for any businessperson: not only is this profile like an online resumé, but LinkedIn allows users to make connections with people they otherwise would not have contact with.
Evernote
Evernote will keep you organized by capturing your ideas in text, voice, or image while tracking deadlines and managing projects. The app can scan documents and make notes on PDF, and if you keep lots of notes that confuse you there’s always the search option. Cloud access helps sharing across mobile, PC and tablet which is ideal for working across platforms and sharing with your team.
Dropbox
Dropbox users can upload and store files online to share and sync across chosen devices. Updates on personal files or collaborations are automatically synced and users updated. Dropbox Showcase offers users a well-designed online portfolio to display their best work with those they share files with, and tracks how visitors interact with content to get valuable feedback.
Skype
It may not be a new product, but Skype is another essential. With it, you can call landlines and mobile phones when you purchase credit. There’s no shortage of apps that let you make free voice and video calls, and some are good for file sharing as well. Hangouts, FaceTime, Whatsapp, Signal, Slack, Free Conference Call and Duo can all do a good job.
Mint
We all need to properly manage our money when we work hard for it. Mint is your virtual financial advisor that will guide you to set up budgets, track spending and suggest tips to increase your savings. The app also makes sure you don’t forget to pay your bills with timely alerts. Mint assesses your portfolio and provides tips on how to manage your investments.
Those are just a few of the business apps I have found to be instrumental in my time as a busy entrepreneur. What are some of your favorites?
